Benefits of Coffee

Coffee and work go hand in hand. It helps workers stay alert, stimulates the body’s nervous system, improving concentration and productivity. The caffeine rich elixir is not only an energy booster but also a delectable that offers numerous health benefits.

Black coffee has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties - containing quinic acid and chlorogenic acid, which are the phytochemicals which prevent cancer. It contains vitamins and minerals which are vital for the proper functioning of the body, especially of the nervous system. It is also good for hydration as it supplies the body with diuretic properties and maintains electrolyte balance.

Black coffee also contains traces of sodium and potassium and regulates blood pressure.


Cappuccino is an espresso-based coffee with a small amount of steamed milk and a thick layer of foam. Renowned for its bold taste, it is one of the most preferred varieties of coffee. Studies reveal that 180 ml of cappuccino a day can significantly prevent the oxidation of bad cholesterol and prevent heart problems. Regular consumption of cappuccinos can also help lower the chances of a stroke by 20 per cent and assists in digestion by constituting a healthy bowel.


Espressos are made with fresh ground coffee powder and hot water. Often described as little cups of energy, espressos can help boost memory and improve concentration. Being high in antioxidants, and a powerhouse of polyphenols, daily consumption of espressos can help in fighting various infections, allergies and protect from free radicals like air pollution, UV rays and smoking hazards.


Latte, made by mixing espresso with steamed milk and milk foam are often enhanced by various avatars of flavors. Consumption of lattes can help decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes and help in preventing cardiovascular disorders.


Mocha Frappes are coffee with the sweet addition of sugar, condensed milk, or chocolate syrup and topped off with whipped cream, that provides instant energy. The sweet delight can help fight depression, maintain liver health, beat insomnia, relieve muscle pain and even maintain bone density.


Over the last 30 years, the proverbial coffee pot has assumed the role of the office water cooler. Being a coffee drinker in an office setting lends itself to more social interaction that can increase productivity. More importantly, coffee drinkers at work tend to be happier in their jobs. A study by MIT showed that workers who take coffee breaks demonstrate an overall improvement in their productivity and that these breaks create a forum within which workers can share both personal and work-related experiences - allowing the establishment of a sense of community and opportunities of collaboration.
